How to Get Certified

  1. Apply for online Instructor Training 
  2. Pay training fee ($85)
  3. Complete online Instructor Training (approx 2 hrs)
  4. Submit a simple business plan (using template from Cahoots), or plans to teach for a Facility Sponsor
  5. Pay Certification Exam fee + Background Check fee (cost: $75 total)
  6. Take Licensing Exam (15 min online written test + film yourself teaching a class)
  7. Pay your first month $39 Licensing Fee (and continue to pay monthly to keep it active)

Total Certification Fees: $160 (+$39 monthly license renewal fee)

What is expected of YOU?

Independent Cahoots KidFit Certified Instructors
  • ​Make your own schedule: each class meets at least once a week (4+ sessions per month). You set the dates and times. You choose how many classes to offer (you make a higher hourly rate the more classes you teach). 
  • Choose your own location: use your home or rent space from a dance studio, gym, recreation facility, sports training facility, karate studio, neighbor or other similar facility. 
  • Be passionate: your commitment to the mission of Cahoots KidFit and passion for children's health and development is contagious. You get to create an incredible environment for learning and fun with your class!
  • Get Certified as a Cahoots KidFit Instructor (see details above).
Instructors Hired by a Facility Sponsor
  • Be passionate: your commitment to the mission of Cahoots KidFit and passion for children's health and development is contagious. You get to create an incredible environment for learning and fun with your class!
  • Get Certified as a Cahoots KidFit Instructor (see details above, fees may be covered by Facility Sponsor).​​
